Mardi Gras is almost upon us! This year, Fat Tuesday falls on February 21. Planning to spend the holiday in Myrtle Beach? Well, it may not be New Orleans, but there are still fun, festive ways to celebrate in town! In our opinion, eating cajun food is one of the best ways to celebrate Mardi Gras in Myrtle Beach.

501 at Nene's: Cajun seafood takeout and delivery Restaurant offers everything from gumbo to crab boils. It is delicious- and family-owned!

Big Mike's Soul Food: This homey restaurant serves scrumptious Southern food. Try their fried chicken with collard greens, or go for a classic New Orleans dish like a shrimp po' boy.

Joe's Crab Shack: This popular seafood chain is an incredible, informal place to enjoy a cajun seafood boil! Po'boys are also on the menu. Yum!

Captain George's Seafood Restaurant: This beloved local seafood joint has all sorts of cajun-spiced dishes. Grab some cajun crab legs, cajun stuffed crab, or blackened fish!

Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux: This sports bar chain has a whole menu section full of Louisiana classics! They have gumbo, étouffée, cajun quesadillas, and much more. The atmosphere is awesome too!

Nola'z New Orleans Style Dueling Piano Bar and Eatery: This funky restaurant serves authentic New Orleans-style cuisine, which you can enjoy while listening to live piano! Every dish on the menu is inspired by Louisiana. The added music makes it the perfect place to spend Fat Tuesday!

You don't have to go to New Orleans to have a magical Mardi Gras! This year, celebrate in Myrtle Beach!
