February 17, 2023

2023 is off to a great start- especially in Myrtle Beach! Myrtle Beach has lots to offer visitors in 2023, including lots of brand new attractions and amenities. You're sure to love these recent and upcoming additions.

New Things to Do

Surfworks: South Carolina's first man-made surf park, Surfworks, is coming soon to Myrtle Beach! This park will feature a surfing lagoon, an amphitheater, a surf school, a restaurant, and a brewery.

Stars and Strikes Getaway-n-Play: There are lots of fun activities to enjoy at Myrtle Beach's newest family entertainment complex. Come enjoy augmented reality bowling experience, an arcade, a multi-story laser tag arena, axe throwing, and more.

Surfside Beach Pier: Following its destruction in 2016, the iconic Surfside Beach Pier will reopen in spring of 2023 with improved safety, complete with a restaurant and vendor space.

Cherry Grove Pier: The Cherry Grove Fishing Pier fell during Hurricane Ian in 2022 and is being reconstructed as we speak. It is expected to reopen this May!

Ripley's Aquarium: The beloved Ripley's Aquarium is expanding this year. In the late spring, they're adding a new Sloth Valley exhibit, where guests will be able to come face-to-face with two-toed sloths!
