The 29th Annual Quilt Gala will take place March 7th through 31st at the Horry County Museum. This year's display will feature quilts made for Quilts of Valor. As a part of this event, there will be a weekly ceremony during which a new quilt on display will be awarded to a local veteran. The mission of Quilts of Valor is to "cover all service members and veterans, touched by war, with a comforting and healing quilt." The organization has awarded over 300,000 quilts since 2003.
